1 medium head cauliflower cut into pieces with longs stems if possible
1½ cups flour
1½ cups milk
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
¾ cup Franks hot sauce
¾ cup melted butter
For the "wings":
In a medium-sized bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Whisk together until combined. Then add the milk to the bowl and whisk until smooth.
For the sauce:
Melt the butter in a microwave safe bowl and stir in the Franks hot sauce.
Directions:
Toss the cauliflower into the batter making sure to coat each piece completely. Work in small batches. Try to get as much excess batter off as you can, then place the battered cauliflower onto a baking sheet with a silpat. If you do not have a silpat, then lightly grease the baking sheet.
Bake for 18 minutes then remove from the oven and brush the hot sauce over the cauliflower. Return to the oven and bake another 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and brush again, with the remaining, hot sauce.
Allow cauliflower to cool for 5 - 10 minutes before serving.
